Frico on 2nd is the ultimate hidden gem and best pizza on the Upper East Side. The pizza is outstanding, top of the line, deeply satisfying, and absolutely delicious. Their New York style is hands down the best slice in the neighborhood, an amazing elevated slice. Their Detroit style pizza is also the best Detroit in NYC, with perfect crust and delish squares. The meatball pie is excellent. Special slices are heaped with fresh ingredients and they offer a inventive slice of the week. The sauce and dough are perfect. It is not a huge spot, but you can find a seat. The people are genuinely passionate, good people with real excitement, making it worth going out of your way for. It is the kind of pizza you want to take home to enjoy.
