Was in the area and gave it a try. Pretty authentic Shanghai flavors.

If you’re looking for food that passes as edible, go here. Google rates the food 10-20$ per person which is technically correct, but if you add their mediocre, dry rice they add an extra 10$ per bowl. I wish they’d told our party before ordering rice because typically a side of rice is under 5$; 10$ is just far too expensive for the quality. The food looked appetizing but was bland for taste; my party didn’t enjoy it at all. If you come as a group be prepared to Zelle or Venmo, they do not split checks and did not tell us before we ordered. It would have been better if they had also told us this beforehand because it caused trouble while paying. Our food also came out staggered and at worst late- While my party was finishing their meal, my food finally came. Overall it was perfectly mediocre food, but I would not come back to eat here again.

Shanghai Villa is a fantastic family-owned restaurant with incredible food and genuinely kind people. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend supporting this wonderful small business!

Mediocre Chinese food, though the vegan menu is a plus.

I’ve been coming here since before the name change, and it’s still one of my favorite spots for vegan Chinese food. The flavors hit every time, and the menu has a ton of great options. It’s nice to see they’ve kept the same quality even with the new name. Super chill vibes, friendly staff, and always a solid meal. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into tasty plant-based food or otherwise the menu has something for everyone.

It's okay, but not authentic... The pan-fried buns are actually ordinary fried buns. If you want to try pan-fried buns, don't order them.
Osmanthus wine dumplings are not authentic but taste good
Grilled bran is good
Xiaolongbao is not bad

This place is a DISASTER! Not only are the prices unreasonable but I ordered a garlic sauté broccoli and only gave me dry broccoli as if they is supposed to be my dish. No rice, no nothing. I have to scrap the bottom of the container just to taste something. Never coming here again

It was ordinary, except for the food, which was disappointing. Dipping sauce was very sweet, dumplings were gummy while the filling was hard to chew and fell apart. There was a shrimp shell in one of them. Scallion pancakes didn’t taste like much of anything.
