Much better food and service than we expected. Truly amazing appetizers and excellent entrees and decent desserts. Attentive but not annoying service. Good banter with waiter and others on the way in, during ordering, and on the way out.

Perfect restaurant. The bar area was so nice and the bartender was very knowledgeable and made great drinks. The dining area was beautiful and was the lighting was perfect. The background music was at the right level. Our server was such a great server and everything was brought at an even pace and the food was delicious. Great night.

Loved this place. Been living in and around NYC for the last 7 years and this was one of THE BEST Italian spots. People so “oh yeah west village is so good, blah, a lot of those spots are same same but different. Gran Morse had immaculate vibes, incredible service, and food that was delicious without being pretentious. The Caesar salad is a must try, with kale and mixed/smushed together it was everything you want in a Caesar yet different, and delicious.Meatballs and burrata were really good, very tasty and of quality, the reviews didn’t lieThe truffle/mushroom pizza was also surprisingly really good and I’m not even a huge fan of truffleThe special of the night this longer rigatoni type spicy vodka was the best item. Perfectly al dente, with the perfect amount of sauce and spice, little bit of cheese - this took it home as the best dish for sure. All in all a great experience for a dinner with a few friends, with service was something you don’t expect in NYC - no rushing and trying to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. Almost didn’t write this review, wanted to gate keep this place, but it’s too great a place to not share. Peek the photos, no lie this place is amazing.

Great service from the beginning to the end. Calamari was flavorful with right textures, polpette also delicious with great sauce, moist inside. One of the best plays on tiramisu in a while Had a great evening, thank you for having us.

Gran Morsi is an authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of the city! Great atmosphere, unrivaled dishes and impressive service. This is a place where every bite of food becomes a real masterpiece. I recommend it to everyone who appreciates delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere!

All in all a pretty decent bar! and small place for a dinner, more of a date place than anything else. Very friendly staff, with a good selection of drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails are all pretty Italian Mediterranean sourced/inspired. A bit pricey, the food mores' than the drinks, but on par for the area!

Food is good, but witnessed who appeared to be the owner berate his staff in front of other customers and myself (I believe his name was Vip, after asking a young female server). I don't believe in supporting businesses that look down upon their employees, and shame on this establishment.

Solid 4/5. You have good Italian restaurants and you have great ones. I thought Gran Morsi falls into the former category. The burrata, while creamy and fresh, was let down by its average accompaniments, lacking the vibrancy expected to elevate the dish. A 3/5 for a dish that promises much but delivers an underwhelming ensemble. The Carbone pizza was a delightful journey of flavors, perfectly balancing its rich, base with a generous topping of meat and cheese. A masterful creation that earns a well-deserved 5/5, leaving taste buds dancing in joy. The gnocchi was a revelation, tender pillows of potato that melted in the mouth, each bite a perfect harmony of texture and taste. An excellent dish that showcases the simple elegance of Italian cuisine. The agnolotti presented a delightful surprise, with its filling perfectly seasoned and encased in tender pasta sheets, striking a balance between sophistication and comfort. Above average, it stands out for its thoughtful execution and flavors. The whipped ricotta was a cloud of creamy delight, its lightness and flavor perfection on its own. However, the sourdough bread, meant to be its companion, fell short of expectations, lacking the anticipated crispness and depth.

My friends and I enjoyed our evening and dinner at Gran Morsi very much. The restaurant has beautiful decor - airy, light, spacious. Service was warm, professional and attentive. The menu was so attractive, four of us ordered five entrées after two shared appetizers.

I only sat at the bar for a nightcap around 9:30pm last night, but staff/management was so pleasant. Vibe was mature, but lax. I definitely will be back again to experience their dinner menu.

We live in the area and this is hands down our favorite local restaurant right now. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food and refreshingly unpretentious energy. Everything is mouthwatering but you have to try the ricotta, the arancini and agnolotti! Thanks to Eli for making us feel so welcome and Hemingway for the stellar service.
