Delicious food for a great price! It’s the best place to have birthday parties (the birthday girl/boy eats free with parties of like 5+ or something), the staff is very sweet and I don’t think you can get a better deal in Manhattan!

We stayed the hotel next to the restaurant. We had dinner here on of the night. The food was ok, chicken broth is tasteless. It’s more like a single order restaurant not an all you can eat. Our hotel informed us that, we we have discount in the restaurant so when we finished i showed the room card. They told us it doesn’t matter it will be the same price. Ok, I tought we are not here because the discount, but felt a little confused. I left a 15% tip cause the food and the service was kinda ok until that. But than one of the waiters came and cunted the money, than told us why we only tip so much. At that point we felt totaly uncomfortable and confused. The food was ok but after that never again.

We ate here for a late lunch. We had the hotpot and bbq. The restaurant was clean and modern. We had a language barrier with our waitress but that didn’t make the experience bad and we were able to get all we wanted by the photos on the menu. We got 4 different individual hotpot’s to try. They were good but the vegetable one I was not a fan of but would be perfect for a vegetarian. The food was delicious and I would eat here again when we come back to visit again. This is a must try place.

Very nice experience, we had a great time at a very affordable price! And a discount if it’s birthday window or 3 days before!

My favorite hot pot and BBQ I've been here like 6 times

Food was okay, but could use additional flavoring. Service was definitely not the best. Our waitress was not very attentive and then it also felt like we were being watched.. Also... We paid for all you can eat Korean BBQ.. but the waitress made it seemed like we weren't able to. The all you can eat Korean BBQ and all you can eat hot pot was definitely not met. Service and atmosphere was very disappointing.

It was great, but our server (Lan) wasn’t the best. We did all you can eat hot pot & bbq. We asked for multiple things but never got it. We asked for it again, but she never responded. Meanwhile, My sister’s boyfriend did the bbq & she would come to finish the cooking periodically.. When she was finished cooking everything, she said out loud while sighing “all done.” She didn’t even ask us if there was anything else we needed. She would just come to do the cooking for bbq & then leave. We did not tip based on the service we got from her.

Food was okay.. wish there was more flavor to the broth. Would have preferred to do our own cooking for BBQ.. it was like they were rushing you to finish your food and leave. Didn't even get to do a second round of the all you can eat.. we also did all you can eat hotpot, but most of the food items we ordered never came out.. asked again and they still didn't bring it out. They didn't even pay attention to refilling our water.. service could have really been better.

Hometown is a clean and big restaurant with affordable prices to eat all you want in Chinatown. The staff is patient and kind, but quite busy since the restaurant is big with many tables. We were 8 and were seated in the large room in the back. There was a SPECIAL PRICE including all you can eat hotpot and bbq combo for 41.99 plus taxes for 1.5 hours. Drinks or desserts are not included. You pick your broth type and then all the ingredients you want including meats, seafood, and vegetables and the same for barbecue. Everything is fresh and you can decide how you cook it in your individual pot. For the barbecue they cook it for you. They actually REFILL your broth if you want more. There is a sauce station where you can create your own sauce, it was fun and I was really happy with the result. Make sure you put some PEANUT SAUCE!I went on safe mode and ordered the PLAIN CHICKEN BROTH, but it was not too flavorful, it seemed watered down. I liked everything but the only one I do not recommend was the EGGPLANT for the bbq, they added some garlic sauce on top that was not good at all and left me with a bad taste.Make sure to CHECK YOUR RECEIPT as they had charged us for all combo hotpot and bbq while not all of us had got it and they had assured us that each person could choose individually.SPANISHHometown is a clean, large restaurant with affordable prices to eat all you want in Chinatown. The staff is patient and friendly, but quite busy since the restaurant is large and has many tables. First timer here! I’m not big on trying new foods but this place hit each spot. I ordered the “all you can eat BBQ and Boil” menu, it tasted like heaven. I highly recommend the spicy soul (it’s the spiciest one they have), steak with black pepper sauce, beef, shrimp, and corn. It also came with rice. The sauces were good too maybe test taste to your liking (garlic/sesame bbq looking sauce is great). Nonetheless, I’m going back!!

It is a very interesting place if you go there with meat loving friends and family. Gets very crowded after 6 and long waits.Best time to go there very hungry around 5PM to get most out for your money. Average price with drink is $50 plus.Nice decor. Not enough and clean restrooms for this crowded place.Good meats. Hot Pot more flavorful than BBQs.Vegetarian options: Tofu skins, vegetables

This place is a hot mess, but fun!! 2 hour wait all you can eat!! Food is good, but it’s unclear who is cooking it. We thought this was a bbq that you cook your own food, but that’s not the case.A waiter will cook your food in front of you, but they leave often and didn’t pay attention. Burned our ribs!! It would have been more fun and efficient if we could have just done it ourselves. The wine is advertised as an Italian 2013… but it’s a 2021 (back label). That said, it was yummy and fun!! I will go back again!!
