This place is awesome. Waiting for the day for people to uncover this gem. They are consistent and everything is done right. Definitely no-frills, no fancy sauces or weird presentations. The way sushi should be. You aren't overpaying for lipstick on a pig like elsewhere.
With that said, the fish is VERY good and very fresh. I would put it up there with the best of them. The chef and manager/waitress are happy to see you, they treat you like they are honored to have you.

Hands down my favorite sushi/omakase restaurant in Manhattan. For starters it's traditional japanese run by japanese and a literal mom and pop establishment - nearly impossible to find! On top of that, the food (not to mention the presentation) is amazing! So original, so delicious. One must - DON'T just show up - make a reservation!
