I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have been going to Quatorze since the early 1990’s when Mark and Peter were on 79th St. I was thrilled when the restaurant recently moved to my corner at 82nd and 1st Ave. and have always enjoyed dining there. NEVER AGAIN. I just had the most awful in-person experience with a manager, Nino who was rude, dismissive and argumentative. And all I wanted to do was make a reservation. Fantastic food and service
Best French restaurant in the UES! Love the new late night steak frites special. As always service and vibes are awesome highly recommend to anyone in the neighborhood.

Quatorze is a quintessential French bistro and a true gem, offering a perfect and divine dining experience. The atmosphere is laid back but classy, making it a wonderful venue for a romantic date night or a celebration. The menu is point on, featuring soulful and comforting French classics. Must-try dishes include the warm chicory salad with crispy bacon, steak tartar, oysters, duck confit, duck magret, and the exceptionally tender boeuf bourguignon. The French fries are a must, and the soft shell crab is cooked to perfection. Happy hour features oysters at a great price. For dessert, do not miss the outstanding apple tart, the Myers lemon tart, the chocolate hazelnut mousse, or the crème caramel. The wine selection is good and varied. Service is friendly, and the executive chef is a masterful and welcoming host. This fantastic restaurant has been a beloved institution for over 40 years.
