I've eaten at this restaurant since in opened on 14th street a millennium ago then again when it moved to 79th St. I always liked it, but didn't remember how good it really was. Last night I was looking for a French bistro that served roast duck. Would you believe, its wasn't an easy find. I also wanted a classic style adult setting. Not so much a review... more like a return to memory. In 1992, i moved to NYC, and the second place I found employment was "Quatorze bis." Mark and Peter were amazing bosses and just great people to be around. They taught me more about client relationships, unwavering discretion, the highest standards, and commitment to authenticity than my degrees ever could. I'm now a VP with a global, high-end steakhouse chain and recently had dinner at "Quatorze bis" - and it was flawless....read full review

There again for supper at the bar. Split Salad, Cassoulet and cocktails. Salad with mustard vinaigrette: simple and sublime. Cassoulet... excellent. Both the stew and the duck confit on top....to die for. Topped off with a few GeorgiaPeach cocktails. Yum. Owner, manager, bartenders.....delightful.
