This place served as a staple and "home away from home" for us during our visit here. It was right around the corner and open 24/7 and pretty much had everything we needed and was fairly priced for New York. However, the star is Alfred/Alford- he was a lot of fun and extremely enjoyable to converse with and made us the best sandwiches we've ever had, hands down. Hail from Queens, been stopping here for years when I do work in the neighborhood. Service is swift enough, and I never had a complaint regarding their food. Good drink selection as well.
