The food is not authentic Chinese food at all. I ordered using the Chinese menu and the dishes are completely off from what they are supposed to be. It was also really expensive for what it was

Great location and great soup dumplings. Very nice ambience and service. I didn’t like my lunch special garlic eggplant. Maybe because the eggplant chunks are too big or the taste is mediocre. But the crab soup dumplings are worth of the visit.

Portions too large, prices too high: rice and a plain cup of tea are extra, as is the credit card surcharge. General Tso chicken is fresh, similar to Panda Express, too much chicken relative to vegetables. Friendly but rushed service. More spacious than nearby restaurants.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, my friend had one of the most horrifying experiences at this restaurant. Her hand got crushed by the door—so badly that the skin was peeled back, exposing the bone and got so many cuts. Absolutely brutal. And you’d think the restaurant staff would show even the slightest bit of human decency, right? Maybe stop to check if she was okay, offer some kind of assistance, or at the very least, acknowledge what happened? Nope. Not a single person gave a damn.
To make things worse, she was in so much pain that she FAINTED in front of the entrance, and instead of helping, the staff just ignored, no one cared. After she woke up, Shaw called the restaurant herself and the staff finally showed up but kept trying to force her indoors—while she could barely even move. No concern, no basic care, just a desperate need to keep things running as if nothing happened. And after all that? No follow-up, no response to emails, no apology.
Accidents happen, but how a business responds says everything about their values. And this place? Cold. Heartless. Downright negligent. If they care this little about an injured customer, I can’t imagine how little they care about their food, service, or overall safety.
Stay far, far away.

Fancy vibe with extremely mid food. Mid is actually being quite nice as we barely ate any of the food. Was a little gross tasting. Tourist trap maybe? Just go somewhere else

Good portion sizes and choices but very overrated, bland food, not very authentic.. We gave them some honest feedback but there was no offer to discount our bill.. overall a disappointing experience, worst meal in our time in NYC!

Nice people, good place, what I got was just an average/decent dish (not bad, not amazing). Cost/quality questionable, it felt expensive.

Food was solid to start. That was about the only good thing about this place. Sat down with some friends, immediately rushed into ordering, and when ordering, seemed like it was a hassle to add things, or order different things. Wanted to do separate checks, that was also an issue. Also felt like every worker was staring at us and hawking us at all times. Was frequently bothered taking plates and little tiny bits of trash. Very uncomfortable to eat there, and the food was just good, nothing more or less. Would genuinely never ever return back to this place for any reason. Terrible experience.

The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere and a cozy vibe, but the food falls short of authentic flavors.

The soup dumplings were OK. Nothing special. Scallion pancakes were big, thick, doughy, and under cooked in the middle. Very basic American-Chinese food. If you're looking for authentic, don't go here.

Good food, unfortunately my friend's glass, which was still half full of Sprite, was simply refilled with tap water without asking

DO NOT go here if you value your safety and respect ⚠️!!!!
My friend had a horrifying experience at this restaurant after Thanksgiving. Due to their negligence in managing an overcrowded and unsafe entrance, she suffered a serious hand injury, bleeding profusely, with exposed bone. Instead of offering immediate help, the staff completely ignored her distress, and she had to call the restaurant from outside just to get their attention.
The manager’s response? Cold, dismissive, and utterly unhelpful. No apology, no real concern—just an attempt to downplay the severity of her injury!!!! Even after medical treatment that required stitches, orthopedic consultations, and rehabilitation, the restaurant has never followed up or shown any accountability!!!
If a business can be this careless about a major injury happening on their premises, imagine how little they care about general customer safety and well-being!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!
