I don’t understand the hype . Food is average , I’ve been in better places . Fresh fish , but they mixed it with something I don’t like it . It’s like you eat sushi with fish and it has oil , I don’t like that it’s killing the fresh taste of fish.
If you want to eat inside be prepared to wait there is a line omg
The place is tiny only bar seating is available which is not comfortable imho
Service is good they prepared my order fast but 37$ for lunch there is definitely not worth it .

Decent! Nothing special, but it is pretty reliable. I wish they put less rice in the handrolls, but otherwise the fish is fresh and they also let you substitute rolls if you have allergies!

Went in around 5pm on a Monday, the line looked relatively short. After about 15 mins of waiting, we were almost up but they were waiting to fill a large party, so we decided to pivot to to-go. A few minutes after placing our to-go order, the server said 2 seats had opened up and would we like to cancel the to-go and sit down as planned, to which we agreed. I found it thoughtful that they offered that and a mark of good service. Handrolls were delish!

An unique experience, seeing them roll ur sushi right in front of you. Same with the seating, sitting all together with stranger, I recommend. But its probably a bit of a wait time to get a table, so plan ahead

Handrolls were good. I liked the mayo based ones. But nothing was outstanding or blew my mind. Tasted like Costco ingredients

Overall pretty disappointing.

The menu is limited, so you'd expect the quality of the offerings to be exceptional.. but most were just average or below average in taste and quality. The scallop, crab, and lobster are all a mayo-style mix, and the yellowtail and salmon are minced so finely that they're a paste. The wasabi is fake and there are no other garnishes or toppings with the rolls.. no shiso leaves, sesame seeds, etc. It's just minced fish, rice, nori.

We went today (6/7) and there was little to no AC. It was so hot inside that the ice in our drinks melted immediately. I felt awful for the staff.

Also the bathrooms here are DISGUSTING. I'm not sure they've ever been cleaned.

Great Sushi and service. Tip included which is a great nice bonus.

As a Vancouverite, I expected more from the sushi 🍣 it was overpriced and the wait was frustrating. Still, the experience itself was one of a kind.

REVIEW FOR UNION SQ Dined in ~10 mins before closing, the owner let us in which was sweet but the whole 20 MINUTES we were there the waiter (white guy with glasses, didn't get his name) were non-stop berating and rushing us. Laughing and joking with their coworkers, I've never had an experience like this its genuinely hard to put into words. Because of the experience, I'd boycott all locations. I think as youve slready went the extra mile to let us in and order, you should treat your customers with some respect. The opposite was shown tonight by this locations team (4/26/26). 0/10
