Tried this place out the other day with a few friends - it was okay overall, and tried a few things from the menu but nothing stuck out as particularly outstanding. I did enjoy the tater tots, the scallion pancakes, and shrimp toast as apps. For mains, the eggplant and kung pao chicken were decent. I would definitely go back to try other things from the menu since it was decently expansive!

After a break for several months from this place, we went back and ordered about six dishes from Kings Co. Imperial on Delancey Street. It has been a long time since I have had takeout – and there are a number of very humble Chinese takeout places in this neighborhood – so listless and lacking in flavor. (On the other hand, at least half featured oversalting and several a certain zealousness with hot red peppers - I counted about 15 in one dish). Prior experience suggested that the menu was hit or miss which is why I'd skipped it for so long) - but this set a standard that is hard to come back from. You have to try, really try, to make something so basic as sesame noodles this flavorless. Food was ready quickly, and it’s a pretty spot. But on any given night, it can fail.

Placed a delivery order, however the dish wouldn't let me specify multiple dietary restrictions or leave any special instructions, and app said to call the restaurant.
After calling over 20 times however got no response at all. If you're not going to answer the phone then at least allow me to write special instructions in the order.

THIS RESTAURANT NEVER ANSWERS THEIR PHONE. What is the point of having a phone number?! Called this restaurant over 30 times to contact them about my takeout order. When they eventually picked up 15 minutes later the staff was so rude and unbothered. Food is average.

Not good
We loved the ambiance and the friendly staff, but after trying a few dishes, we ended up feeling sick when we got home.
The food wasn’t overly spicy, so it wasn’t the spice level that made us feel unwell.
Delicious modern Chinese food in a cool vintage style setting, at the foot of the bridge, making it feel a bit ‘Bladerunner’. Creative vegan & veggie options too- get the scallion pancakes & sesame noodles!

Maybe the best Chinese restaurant in NYC. Try the Hanging Ribs and the Beef Chow Fun. You won’t be sorry.
Delicious food, dimly lit cozy atmosphere

The food was soo good! There are many delicious vegan options including potstickers, scallion pancake, sichuan oyster mushroom, sichuan tater tots. Even the main chicken dishes can be make vegan with tofu if you ask. Server helped clarify which options were or can be made vegan.
