Everything was quite excellent. Despite 5 stars for food and service I gave it 4 stars overall because I thought the sushi omakase could have been enhanced with a few more prepared items and not be overwhelmingly sushi and sashimi
I came here the night before for dinner and I was quite happy with my experience! Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was not so busy when my friend and I arrived. We ordered the Ohitashi, which was tasty and light, followed by the fried horse mackerel and Brussel sprouts as a following appetizer, which was lightly battered and fried. Unfortunately, Kyo Ya may be shuttered for good because of COVID.. When we last dined here it was earlier in the year. Excellent Japanese kaiseki cuisine with fantastic sake selection.
