L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates

I like Burdick's chocolates, so ordered a box of chocolates penguins for a friend. They were left by UPS in front of the recipien'ts garage on a very hot day, no one was home. (There was abox for parcels outside their front door.) My friends got melted chocolate mush.
A sensitive response to my complaint would have been appreciated, as I was informing them in the hope that circumstances like this can be corrected. Instead they just blew me off.

Around Easter, the shop transforms into a whimsical wonderland, featuring handcrafted chocolate eggs and bunnies that are almost too beautiful to eat. The Easter eggs are intricately decorated and filled with smaller confections, making them a perfect gift or a decadent treat for yourself. The chocolate bunnies, made from their signature dark, milk, or white chocolate, are charmingly detailed and taste as good as they look.

I walked in on the march 29th-saturday to buy chocolates for my a birthday friend. Their was no hospitality at all. The customer service from the woman behind the counter was very low. I asked her for advice on the best few gifts to buy as gifts, but she cared more about playing a game on her phone. And had an attitude for me disturbing her with questions. When people walk into your store your job is to make customers feel welcome. Not unwelcome. If you hate your job so much then please quit and let someone who is a peoples person take your spot. Their are a lot of good people out there that can do your job way better. Your personality suck!

A little slice of chocolate heaven

This place truly has high quality chocolate and chocolate products ...the best iced or hot chocolate I have had. But I really do wish they would bring up the standard for customer service. The rude and cold customer service is so unnecessary, takes away from the experience. I hope the owners pay attention and invest in training the staff at this location.

They make an amazing hot or cold chocolate that is thick, dark, and full of flavor. The place doesn't have many tables for sitting inside, but it's well worth it.

Small, quaint location with delicious chocolates. The chocolate chip cookie was a moist and chewy loaded with chocolate chips. Reasonably priced at $5 . Seating is minimal (one bench with a table), so plan to take your food to go or hang out on Prince St.

Excellent chocolates but more so are the cakes. And for a person that doesn’t like cake they are fabulous! Pricey but worth it.

I was lured into the store by a sign on the street that says they have the world's best iced hot chocolate. I went in to try it out. I got the iced hot dark chocolate. The drink was a let down. It tasted like diluted hot chocolate on the top, and it was solidifying on the bottom. I asked for a straw to stir the drink. A barista curtly told me no. I do not plan to be back.

Yummy chocolates but quite pricey

The chocolate chip cookie is so good! You can tell there is a lot of love that went into these cookies. Not sure exactly what the recipe is, but it seems they use different types of chocolates in the cookie thay give it the next level taste and feel. Pro tip would be to find a way to warm it up because the store is cold so the cookie is cold. Either way it is so good but warming it up would definitely elevate the cookie to a whole new tier of greatness.

We ordered two pure chocolates and they were delicious! It was like going back to childhood!! Highly recommended!
