I first encountered Omen Azen in Kyoto, so when I searched for a similar place, I was pleasantly surprised to find their NYC location. Their food is authentic (whereas many Japanese or Omakase restaurants in NYC nowadays are owned and managed by non-Japanese), and the service was handled by young people who seemed to be in training but whose effort was truly appreciated. We had their tasting menu and completely enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and great environment. Service was a bit slow but not too bad. Sashimi were amazing, so were the tuna tartare. Would recommend overall!
