Yummy, delicious, flavorful cookies, and friendly staff. We stood in line outside as they were super busy, but so worth it!
Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. Amazing cookies! Tried last spring when we were in NYC. My family talks about them all the time so I just surprised them and had some shipped to us. 20 seconds in the microwave and it’s like they’re fresh from the oven.

Levain Bakery on the Upper West Side in New York City is known for its delicious and rich cookies. The cookies are a combination of a cookie and brownie, available in classic, chocolate, and peanut butter flavors. They are generously sized, and some customers suggest sharing one due to their sweetness. The bakery has a few locations and was once a small basement bakery with a loyal local following before becoming a popular destination for tourists. Despite its trendiness and the occasional long lines, it is considered by many to be the best cookie in the city.
The bakery's hospitality is praised by customers, with one reviewer highlighting the exceptional service they received from the Rittenhouse location, even after a delivery issue. Customers also appreciate the bakery's ability to ship their cookies, allowing them to enjoy the fresh-baked taste at home. The presentation and quality of the food are well-received, though some find the prices a bit high, which is common in New York City.
