It’s a great pizza slice. Cornmeal on the bottom of the crispy crust makes it better than most. Pizza special 2 cheese slices and a fountain drink for $6.75 plus tax makes it a great deal especially for the neighborhood. The interior is renovated and the staff is fast and friendly. It is a busy location so try and catch a lull. They have 2 outdoor tables on the sidewalk for the brave.
Obviously you shouldn't expect pizza like the one in Italy, but among the many options here in New York, this one is very approved! In particular, I recommend the classic "triangular" slice, but the slice version is also excellent!
Had a grandma Sicilian and an order of garlic knots. The dough and quality of bread was above average with good sauce, unfortunately a little too much oregano. The garlic knots were somewhat doughy and chewy which I like they were also of decent size. The oil distribution was a little off on them though making some parts just taste like bread and the others taste too greasy. I did like the big chucks of garlic on it though.
