Can’t offer enough praise for Luke’s Lobster, and the only negative is that I wish I could afford it more (Yes, it's pricey, but well worth it). However, even as an occasional treat I’ve had only positive experiences over the past 10+ years since I wandered into the damndest shack I've ever seen down below Wall St. If I've ever had a better lobster roll, (the best of the main offerings, for me), it was probably in Maine. The bisque is unique, and quite different from even top flight versions devoid of corn starch, but I rate it just as highly
The Midtown East location stands out. Being disabled, it’s always a great kindness when service goes above and beyond. A manager named Danielle has been especially kind, but I must offer the highest praise to James, who never fails to provide consistent, 1st Class service, and is also one of the friendliest & most professional food service people I've ever been fortunate enough to deal with. Again, only wish my budget allowed more trips here, but Luke’s has never disappointed.

Great sea food and lunch place, or for a quick bite after work. Atmosphere not the best though.

First meal in NY and it was outstanding . James was extremely courteous and warm. The lobster roll with the spicy butter is a must have along with the rest of the ensemble.

Monday August 11th, at 6:15 pm we tried to place a takeout order from Luke’s Lobster Midtown East over the phone. We called a few times but no one answered. We walked from the Wyndham hotel to see if the restaurant was open. We arrived at 6:30pm and placed our order. They are on a preferred vendor list for Wyndham timeshare owners, so we gave them a digital gift card that we received from Wyndham to pay for our food. The workers said they were experiencing an issue with the bar code and that it would take a while so I would need to come back. We went to another restaurant on the preferred list to pick up a prior order and the digital card worked just fine. Meanwhile we informed Wyndham of the issue and they tried to reach the restaurant to help them but no one would pick up. So, we walked back over to the restaurant to see if the issue was resolved and we were hit with the rudest and most unprofessional service from one of the workers. She rudely said the issue isn’t fixed so there’s nothing we can do for you. We replied, “the card worked at another restaurant just fine”. Only to be cut off by another rude reply of “well it doesn’t work here, we’re about to close so I don’t know what to tell you”, and then she walked off. We were looking forward to our lobster rolls and chowder but I guess we’ll never taste it because they wouldn’t serve us and we’ll never go there in the future when we visit NY again. So unnecessary!!!

I had my first roll today at Luke’s and I must say, I was impressed. Danielle told me to get is fresh and not warmed. Best idea ever. It’s was tender and left me wanting more. The team was welcoming and so attentive. I’m going to come back with some colleagues to sit on the patio and enjoy the vibes. 10/10

Polite guy behind the register but Rude lady behind the kitchen, when I ordered I paid for and specifically asked if the combo came with a drink and if it’s any drink and the guy at the register said yes then when I walked to the cooler and was looking at the options the lady yells at me that I’m on my allowed to have a water when the receipt clearly says soft drink , she would not allow me to have the drink I paid for and was pretty rude as well, the guy at the registered seemed confused and apologized but the woman was rude also I want a refund for my drink!!! Still here the lady just yelled at me again and is currently yelling at a grub hub delivery guy picking up an order she’s extremely rude, ok got the food finally the chowder is full of sand disgusting every bite is crunchy with sand, total disappointment coming here zero stars

If you're craving a lobster roll, go to Luke's! Stopped in for dinner last night. The interior reminded me of a dockside restaurant. The ordering process is much like a traditional barbecue place: Diners order at the register, and the food is brought out to the tables.
The lobster rolls seem a bit pricey but are really delicious! Next time, I'll try the flight.
The only pet peeve of mine is that the lobster bisque wasn't as hot as I like soup, but this frequently happens at other restaurants.
I'd consider coming back, but because of the price, I wouldn't make a habit of dining here. It's definitely worth a try!

I live a block away and have passed Luke’s Lobster a million times. Since the weather was so nice today my husband and I decided to finally go and try it out. We were attended by James, the weekend manager, who was so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He made some great food recommendations and we were super happy with our food choices. The truffle butter is to die for!! So is the clam chowder. Thanks for everything, James!! We will definitely be back!!
Good lobstah rolls baby!
I wanted to go to this place for some time. Finally I had a seafood flight and lobster bisque for lunch. I enjoyed the bisque, but the flight came without fries or soft drinks. I paid more than $40 and I was still hungry.
The food, service and atmosphere are ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! I had help from both Erving and James and I can't say enough about how helpful and kind they were. We are from out of town and always try to stop in a Luke's Lobster when we're near one and traveling and we were NOT DISSAPOINTED!!
Do yourself a favor and stop in! You absolutely won't regret it!

It was okay. I really wasn’t blown away. The lobster was meaty but wasn’t that flavorful. The brioche and lobster together was a bit too greasy. Restaurant was quite empty on a weekday around 7pm. Service was fine.
