The food was delicious and everything tasted really fresh. You know it’s authentic when you hear the tables next to you chatting in Japanese lol. The portion felt pretty small for the price although maybe I was just extra hungry. Glad I got to try it but I personally wouldn’t come back.

Sakagura is a Japanese restaurant offering an izakaya-style dining experience with a wide selection of sake. The food is authentic and delicious, featuring dishes such as karagi, pork belly, black cod, and vegetarian options. Recent reviews highlight the appealing atmosphere, which transforms from a typical office building to a Japanese-themed lounge as guests descend the stairs. The service is exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who provide great attention to customer needs.
While the snow crab rice has changed to include shredded crab, dishes like Buta Kakuni, Gindara Yuan Yaki, and the Crab Roll special remain popular. Guests appreciate the 5-type sashimi starter, shrimp fritter, and matcha tiramisu as highlights. The restaurant boasts an impressive sake list, including options like Meiri Shurui and Yamazaki 12, making it a great spot for a prix fixe meal or dinner with children. Although some find the prices high, the cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it worth a visit, and many believe Sakagura deserves a Michelin star.
