Margon Reviews
I ate at this restaurant during my Christmas vacation visit to New York. It is fantastic! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty. It was better than the big advertised restaurants. If you want a real delicious meal and some great music while you eat, go to this place. It's a hidden gem.
We staying next door at the Muse and I walked the 20 steps to Margon to get a cafe con leche and tostada cubana. I was blown away. As born and raised Miamian, I can honestly tell you that the best cafe con leche is found at Margon in Manhattan. Hands down. And the ambiance reminds me of the old-school cafeterias and bakeries my grandfather and dad would take me to as a little girl. Keep doing what you’re doing .. loads of blessings and suerte, your way!
Very welcoming staff and the food was amazing!

Margon is a charming and unique restaurant in Midtown Manhattan that offers excellent Cuban food in a lively and slightly chaotic atmosphere. The Cuban sandwiches are a highlight, with the Sandwich being a particular favorite, and are described as juicy, perfectly flavored, simple, and true to Cuban food. The restaurant is located in a lesser-known area, yet it feels welcoming and safe for those who visit. The menu features a range of dishes, including the popular Mangú, as well as other options like Roast Chicken with plantains, yellow rice, black beans, and pickled red onions, which many find surprisingly tasty. The staff, including the owner, are very friendly and sweet, making the experience even more enjoyable. Despite being close to Times Square, Margon maintains a non-touristy vibe. Customers appreciate the great service, even arriving just before closing, and often plan to return. The restaurant also offers desserts like Flan and Banana Shake, which are highly recommended, and a Cuban Coffee called Media Noche to give a quick energy boost. Margon is a great spot to try new flavors, enjoy a friendly community atmosphere, and experience authentic Cuban cuisine.
