Food was great! We ordered a variety of pasta and calamari to start, all were good. Small portion but justttt enough to go with your wine for the evening. Unfortunately the service was just a little slow last saturday evening, we were there for a birthday dinner. The waitress I think was overworked as she seemed to have been single handedly serving the entire back room. We had to constantly look for her to order our food, to clear the table for dessert, for more water, and for the check.
Also we made a note on the reservation and verbally said it again in-person to the waitress that it was for a birthday and normally a restaurant would just put the (tiramisu) dessert on the house, not that we were expecting, but just says a lot about the hospitality culture of the restaurant. Lastly, the restaurant charged a 3% surcharge if you use credit card. Our party's bill was not going to be paid off with cash... a 3% surcharge seemed interesting to me since I have never seen that at a restaurant before... maybe for a nail salon / spa service... but not a restaurant in the west village. So that seemed a little strange to me. Nonetheless, food was good. Would i go again? maybe during a low peak hour, not on a saturday evening.

Decent Italian in the heat of West Village. Fairly priced for tasty and quality food.

I was waiting for a table at a popular nearby place and stumbled upon this….incredible. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service. Pier at the bar was delightful, eat whatever he recommends.

Tasty drinks. Laid back and seems to be a neighborhood spot. I’ll be back.

Pierre and his staff’s enthusiasm for good food and service shine throughout this west village gem. Sit at the bar, strike up a conversation and enjoy the night!

I really wanted to like Mi Garba, given the great reviews but sadly my wife and I found the whole experience underwhelming. From the moment we arrived the service was rushed and un attentive, essentially 2 staff seemed insufficient to cover the restaurant, which was moderately visit. Tap water brought to the table was luke warm and not iced. Appetisers were the highlight (Caprese and Crostone) exceptional flavours and well presented. Entrees were the Ragu, which tasted decent enough with a nice rich flavour, but the presentation was basic plonked in a small dish that didn’t scream entree. My wife’s Lobster ravioli was cold - we had noticed it had been left out for a while but not enough to make it that cold which therefore suggested it hadn’t been fully cooked. We chose to have desert to go (the Tiramasu) and it’s not entirely fair to judge it this way as the layering would become unbalanced thus won’t leave feedback on this. Bill including 1 beer and 1 prosecco, inc tax/service came to $160, not expensive by West Village prices.

The pasta was incredible!!! The short rib agnolotti was insanely good, the ragu was great too. Such nice people. Thank you!

So good, a wedding party stopped in just to have coffee and take photos. Honestly, I cannot rate this highly enough. Fabulous food (carbonara to die for), amazing friendly service and the Tiramasu is possibly the best I’ve had. Forget the 1.45 min wait at Via Carota and get yourself across the road to this gem.

What an absolute gem, if I could give 6 out of 5 I would. Our pasta was incredible as was the bottle of red that went with it. The Tiramisu for dessert was amazing.
We recommend this place to anyone who likes great authentic Italian food.

My husband and I came into the city from Connecticut and stumbled upon this place in the West village. We were pleasantly surprised! The portions were perfect and the food was excellent. We actually came in for an appetizer and ended up ordering an appetizer and a couple of entrees the food was that good. They also had a well balanced selection of crafted cocktails.

Brought my wife to the city for her birthday. Our first night here I was trying to find a nice Restaurant.
When did walking through the West village and happened upon MiGarba. It’s a small place that seats about 35 people.
Both food and drinks were excellent. I love steak tar tar. Theirs was unique and very delicious. They had their own sauce that was just a little sweet, in a good way.
We also had lobster ravioli, and Cacio Pepe. Both were excellent.
Ambience was fantastic…
Great music, nothing loud,
would highly recommend this restaurant

One of the worst service I had in the city. We had a dinner reservation for 3 but the waiter never smiled, threw the menus at us, and never checked in on what we needed. He kept rolling his eyes when speaking to us and yelling when we asked for water. Service is for sure 0 stars.
