Walked into Ming Kee kitchen today accidentally with starving belly when landed hours late in NYC. A hot pot of welcome tea right after seating, thankful in a cold and damp day! The noodle soup with shredded duck meat is typical Cantonese flavor, and the salty fish pellets sauted chicken is authentic. The diced barbecue pork fried rice is a disappointment, felt like soy sauce over-poured, and over-fried smell. Well, felt this is a place for most of work bees to get a homemade...
I had the Sauteed Eggplant with garlic sauce, because one of reviews had written that it was good, it was not for my taste.
I also had the Egg noodle soup with wonton and roasted duck, the wonton is average at best, but the duck was good.
I had a big appetite since this is my brunch.
Their prices for the food are cheaper than a regular chinese resto in the DMV area, cash only basis, you often get what you pay for, a classic adage.
