New Cameron Bakery has the charm of an old-school bakery and is conveniently located near the uptown 6 train, making it easy to grab something on the go. The staff was helpful and fluent in English, and transactions were quick. They have a $5 minimum charge for credit cards and accept Apple Pay. The coconut buns were delicious and was consistent to the other bakeries. They had a large selection of steam buns and Lunar New Year edible things available.
An area for improvement could be offering a samples of steam buns in 1 pack.
Overall, my experience was positive, and I would definitely consider returning.

The baked goods are excellent but the older lady constantly overcharges anywhere from 50 cents to $3. She'll tell me the order is $16 so I give her $20 and then she gives me $2 back. When I ask, she says she said $18. I add up everything and it's actually $15. We've done this song and dance a few times now. I don't know why she insists on ripping off her fellow Cantonese community. If they need a few extra dollars, just raise the prices and don't play these childish games. Whenever I see her in there now, I just leave. The buns, breads, and cakes are quite good but not good enough to deal with her.

All the food there taste like leftover night cook, especially the congee taste like they cooked it separately with other ingredients, guess they were just busy enough that’s not care about the food quality anymore ,remember from now ,not to go in that bakery ever again ! the guy at the cashier was overcharge my bun, ridiculously stupid mistake. and he act like he didn’t know ? come on. You worked there forever and didn’t know the price?

Everything was amazing. Everyone is so nice
Kid came here a few days ago for 咸水角"football"--fried mochi with savory filling and loved it. Hong Kong style milk tea is not their forte although they will sell you one. Came back tonight because they were the only bakery open after dinner. Got the last of the egg tart and curry pastry for breakfast tomorrow. Friendly and thoughtful service. Paid cash to avoid credit card surcharge. Bakery is for take out so don't expect dine in service or ambiance.
The curry pastry did not taste like curry beef. It tasted more like pork pastry. The egg tart was good even reheated in the microwave.

The woman who runs the shop is incredibly kind. I had recently eaten dinner at a nearby restaurant and had my leftovers packed up. As I was walking by this bakery, I realized the container my takeout was in had leaked all over my stuff. I went inside to see if I could buy a plastic bag from her to put my takeout container in and she went out of her way to help me clean my things, and gave me extra plastic bags for my stuff! She refused to take the tip I wanted to give her for her kindness. She was so helpful and I really, really appreciate it!
The red bean pastry I bought was very good too :)

I love coming here when I am working in the area. I get rice noodles, and curry fish balls. Even when adding a bubble tea and sometimes a pork bun for later I don’t spend more than $15. It’s a GREAT lunch spot!

I love how conveniently located right outside the uptown 6 train on Canal Street. Clean inside with a table, plenty of typical Chinese pastries, baked buns, cakes (beautiful!) and breads. I got a baked BBQ pork bun. It was fresh, soft and squishy, pork was fine -- it fulfilled my craving without a painful wait like other places . If you want your quick fix for baos, come here. Coffee, boboa also served here. The cashier lady was kind and friendly. Enjoy!

Aside from the daily bakery selection, this place makes the most beautiful and delicious cakes!! I ordered twice from them, and they did not disappoint. Look at the details!! They are amazing, pricing is incredible and very friendly and accommodating!!

I wish I asked the woman’s name who worked here at around 7:30pm on 04/02/24. How incredibly nice was she! What great energy.
Anywho, got some custard buns to surprise my husband with. A pack of 6 for $8! Can’t complain.
The friendly woman educated me on how to properly heat them up. Among just her overall positive energy. I won’t forget her. ❤️

Chinatown bakery with very good pastries. I saw customers buying takeaway noodles and boba tea too. One two tables for customers to eat in store if so inclined. I loved the glutinous rice ball with pork. Bigger than found overseas and delectable. Craving satisfied!
Vegetarian options: Some of the buns are vegetarian.

This is a genuinely good bakery, nothing is oversweetened or overly salty. The cinnamon donut has been been my favorite so far with the egg tart! Everything is well balanced. Delivery was family style ?.
