I enjoy the noodles here because they don't try to overpower you with flavor so I feel it's perfect in terms of flavor. The only thing negative is it is somewhat expensive and they give you very little noodles and meat. The place is also small so more an eat and go place especially during busy hours. I would drop by if I want a quick bite but just not the ambiance I wud want to hang out for a long time.

Niche offers an omakase by reservation only. It is a bit different from what you would expect from an establishment that is mainly known for ramen. This is an omakase course with about a dozen small dishes, and not all are with ramen. There is even fried dishes, and bolognese! Nakamura hand makes everything from start to finish. Yelp says temporarily closed but call and make a reservation. You can still get in if you put some effort in. Small space with a bathroom beyond the kitchen. Intimate, fun space for good times and food.If you're a fan of Nakamura's ramen and you like omakase, then this is definitely worth your time. Delicious.

Absolutely Delish! Two Ramen options for vegetarians / vegans. The space in NYC tight but we were able to get in about 7:30pm on a Saturday without a wait. The food was amazing. Highly recommend!

Amazing food! I'm in love with the pullled Chashu Tsukemen (pork) ramen. Their chef is actively creating new dishes, mine was only a couple of weeks old. Service was excellent, exactly what I was expecting. Definitely coming back to try other delicious items from the menu and will be telling my friends about this place.Kid-friendliness: Kids are free to eat just like adults.

I rarely hear about a new hip place in a city I don’t live in - but I did hear about Niche just two weeks after it reopened and I went it was divine.I’m a fan of Japanese noodles of all sorts but the ones at this tiny little outlet in the middle of LES serves are phenomenal. Silky noodles served in a separate, beautifully handmade pottery dish with plenty of cilantro on top. All to be dipped in the tangy, creamy, meaty sauce.I came just before they closed and the whole family was already cleaning up; but obviously Japanese hospitality couldn’t refuse another customer. Absolutely worth a visits for any noodle fan.

You know those truly amazing food moments that you know you are going to remember for the rest of your life? Nakamura is hands down one of those for me. After reading a review on Time Out, we tried Nakamura on the second night in the city. It’s a small restaurant with a handful of tables (doesn’t seat more than 18 people) and you wouldn’t know it’s there unless you were actively looking for it. I ordered the pork ramen and my partner ordered the chicken. It’s a small menu - but for good reason. Each bowl is executed perfectly. The pork broth is so creamy and feels like a warm hug. The noodles are cooked so well, and the pork was tender, so easy to eat. The chicken broth is fresh, chicken that falls apart and not dry at all. Portions are just right, don’t leave you feeling too full. We loved it so much that we had to come back on our last day for lunch. The second meal was just as good as the first. The service is quick and friendly, and there’s a good selection of drinks and sake if you’re so inclined. If you’re visiting New York City, you have to come here. I genuinely felt emotional because it was so good.

Best Ramen I’ve Ever Had. I’ve had delicious ramen in Vegas, London, Seattle, etc, and Nakamura in NYC is hands down the best so far. It’s been months and I’m *still* dreaming about it. Truly hope to go back someday and have another bowl.

No longer called niche it seems? This place is a hidden gem that I'm surprised more people don't talk about. Fantastic ramen, the broth was rich and flavorful and the pork was perfect. Best ramen ive had in recent memory, and i eat a lot of ramen. A little steep, but totally worth the price. The space is very charming and intimate but that does mean it fills up FAST. get here before the crowd or risk waiting for one of their 16 seats.

This is their medium rare, so be careful everyone and don't make the same mistake as I if you decide to give this place a try. This costs 25 dollars now and is very underwhelming. Although it's a Japanese restaurant, there's very little resemblance of actual Japanese cuisines. Definitely won't come back here unfortunately. Portions are very small and the the flavors are lacking. Good luck everyone!

One of the most unique and delicious ramen experiences I've ever had! Niche is simply delicious. They have an incredibly innovative menu featuring uni, salmon roe and even Italian flavors as well. My favorites were the steak mazeman, the Russ and Roe (pictured) and the crème de bacon. The crème de bacon was so good I spent a lot of time determined to recreate those delicious flavors. I recommend going with a group and trying a little bit of each of these dishes. They're ramen dishes like you've never had before!

cannot wait to go back and try their ramen! The steak mazemen was amazing and everything it should be- it was a generous portion and the steak was cooked perfectly. The toppings are insane! The spinach and the egg are my favorites. It was definitely one of the best eggs I've had at a ramen shop. The shop itself is also adorable. The kitchen area is absolute torture when you're waiting for your food- everything smells amazing! The staff were so friendly and sweet. The customers also seem to be regulars and add to the charm of the place. If you want some steak and noodles, this is a place you should definitely try!! My only ONLY complaint is that I wish the toppings were served warm, but that seems to be a personal choice of the chef, so next time I will opt for the ramen instead of the mazemen.

Pretty good and innovative but pricey

Dined here for lunch last week and ordered the chicken gyoza and mazemen-style (no broth) ramen with steak. Both dishes were outstanding and the service was excellent. This is now my go-to whenever I'm craving ramen!
