OPTO is a new Mediterranean restaurant with an innovative menu and great food. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of upscale but homely, with a good overall vibe and comfortable seating. It is a perfect place for a date night, a group dinner, or even a solo visit.
The fresh produce in all the dishes is elite. Portions are generous. The sunchoke appetizer, possibly with feta and cara cara oranges, is a favorite and spectacular. The octopus is bomb, as good as any octopus dish ever had. Other standout starters include the Jerusalem bagel with labneh, the gem lettuce salad, and the bright yellowtail tartar.
For main dishes, the pastas are a highlight. The lemon pasta and the lobster pasta are particularly bomb and creamy. The pesto pasta is creamy but not heavy, and the ribeye is perfectly cooked and flavored. The Burger and Fries are also awesome.
Desserts are irresistible and a must. The dark chocolate mousse is out of this world, and the lemon torte or lemon cake is spectacular. Service is absolutely fantastic, attentive, friendly, welcoming, informative, and a delight. The staff is super nice. OPTO is awesome, spectacular, and highly recommended.
