Overlook Reviews
We were in NYC for a couple of days, The Overlook was next door to our hotel so of course we went in. The first night we had a great few hours with Sara the bartender. She was super friendly and fun to chat with. We went again the next night to watch Monday night football. Ended up at the bar with the owner and a few of his friends. We had a blast! The wings were great, really good sauce. The bartenders were wonderful. We left feeling like part of the family!! Highly recommend...read full review
Great spot to have some drinks. The bouncer Big Mike was an absolute blast as was the bartender Wesley. I met the owner Mark and we chatted and had some shots which was awesome. Will come back soon.
By all means, with the selection in Manhattan - do your utmost to avoid this place. It takes forever to get food, and they lose track of orders, then charge you for things you didn’t receive, and last

The Overlook is a sports bar with a pleasant outdoor space and amenities like dartboards. While the drinks are cold, the food quality varies, with some dishes like the potato wedges being overpriced and unimpressive. The service is friendly, but the atmosphere has a typical "dive" sports bar feel. The TV connections can sometimes be problematic, causing issues with watching games. Overall, it's a decent spot to catch a game, but the food is nothing exceptional.
The Overlook offers a Chicago-themed experience with classic Windy City eats and a definite dive bar ambiance. The service is consistently praised as friendly and attentive, with staff like Zaria and Grace going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The food, while not the main draw, is surprisingly good for a bar setting, with the Chicago beef sandwich being a highlight. Despite occasional issues with the TV connections, the Overlook remains a popular destination for sports enthusiasts and those seeking a casual, lively atmosphere.
