The flavors here stay with you long after you leave. The food preparation is superb at Patacon Pisao. The employees provide excellent help with warmth. We celebrate family occasions at this place. I wouldn't question coming back.

Take the opportunity to visit when you can. The place shows good hygiene and the owners are sweet, responsive and straightforward. The employees were impressive, incredibly watchful and likable. Each dish tastes distinct, servers know the menu, and quality ingredients appear in every bite. I would return to this restaurant when around.

Overall a great spot. The yuca fries were my favorite. They’re perfectly crispy and the pickled onions are a great palette cleanser. I prefer the plantain over the crunch wrap. I didn’t love the chorizo - it’s more of a sausage than the crumbly spicy chorizo I expected. Love love the sauces the food comes with. I would definitely come again 8/10.

The server/cook was courteous and friendly. However, the food was just ok. They are ridiculously expensive. I will never return.

Good take away arepas

They leave the window open at night which can be cold if you’re sitting inside

I've eaten here several times over the last year and was disappointed to find that the quality has gone down noticeably. There was hardly any filling in the carne asada patacon I ordered, plus the plantains were extremely dry. I was directed towards a kiosk to order which cost 2 additional dollars on top of the $15 sad sandwich. I won't be returning as the value has seriously diminished from what it used to be.

I ordered the arepa paisa and bit down into a metal staple that was lodged into my gums. I called the restaurant to let them know about what happened and they did not believe me. I will be getting arepas from Colombian restaurants moving forward.

Amazing service, the food was on point, fast, the vibe take is back to Colombia in a very nice location, love that fact that they have the “quick order” screen so you don’t have to wait when is crowded. I’m definitely coming back and recommend to everyone who was a delicious taste food!

tried their pabellon patacon and it was delicious. I’ve never had a sandwich with plantain instead of bread but it exceeded all expectations. it’s smashed and firm enough to hold (it doesn’t fall apart at all) and acts as a perfect base to hold everything. If anything I think it’s even more perfect than bread as it feels more starchy and filling. all the filling was perfect too.

and the sauce! all delicious. my favorite was the red/pink one. I will definitely return!

Patacon (Smashed Plantain Sandwich) - A sandwich that is made using patacones, which are flattened and fried green plantains used as bread or buns

I got the Paisa Patacon, stuffed with grilled steak, grilled chorizo, fresh slices of avocado, sunny side up egg, ketchup, and salsa verde, $15.25

If the item description wasn’t convincing enough, this was freakingggg delicious. Apparently you can choose the type of plantain for the sandwich, either a green plantain that’s a little harder or a sweet plantain that’s softer. I wish I knew that before ordering because I definitely would’ve gone with the sweet plantain. But the fault’s on the cashier, who both didn’t tell me and also just gave me the green one by default, even though he admitted after the fact that most people order the sweet version.

Also, they serve the patacon with three bottles of sauce on the side.
