We came from France to eat at Patsy's, we got a table even though we didn't have a reservation and I have to say thank you because we ate excellent food. Thanks again!

The staff treated us with respect, and the food—salmon and chicken—was delicious. The salmon was cooked just the way I wanted it: well done! The outdoor seating or the upper floor might have a better view, but the ground floor doesn't offer anything special, so it's best to just enjoy your meal :)

Me and a friend(both black men) were definitely just racially profiled by our waiter at this location. We had stopped in for dinner and wine and asked to sit outside since it’s nice. After we sat and the waiter took our order, he said that we needed to leave a card ahead of time before he could put our food in, because people run off and the owner requires they take a card from everyone. It was weird that a restaurant would still ask that but we obliged.

However we did ask the two gentlemen sitting next to us(white men) had they been asked to do the same, and of course they said no. So it was even more clear that they just chose us, the only two black people at the restaurant, to ask for a card up front.

But what made it worse was that the when I asked the server about it, he got defensive and said that it’s the policy and that’s just what it is. Wasn’t apologetic or even trying to remedy the situation, just got upset and said that he had nothing else to say about the matter, and walked away.

Even after the meal I tipped, and that was probably dumb on my end. But having to be unfairly profiled as a person of color who was just trying to have dinner, was not ok at all, but having this man live with another racist ideology of, “black peoples don’t tip” was also not gonna be ok for me either. So I tipped to make sure he felt bad. Probably didn’t though.

Since he made it clear this is a policy of the owner, I won’t be eating there anymore.

Went for lunch yesterday. The food is so salty it’s almost inedible. I couldn’t finish my soup or spaghetti and meatballs. All you could taste in the soup was salt. The spaghetti and meatballs was like something out of a can, mushy pasta literally soaked in salty red sauce the only taste the meatballs had was salt. It’s really just a glorified bar with terrible Italian bar food. I should have sent the food back and left, just a waste of money.

Stopped in spontaneously, without registration or reservation, no problem, friendly service and the food was simply good. Can only recommend the restaurant.

Racist at BEST - the older gentleman wearing a grey pants and white shirt.

I have worked in NYC for over 30 years and held senior management positions for a greater number of those years and I have treated my staff to many pizza parties that was ordered from Patsy's Pizzeria uptown location. We were repeat patrons and loved this pizza very much.

I have introduced my family to their pizza and would often take it home for dinner many nights. Today, my daughter and I were in the city and a bit extra early for a drs appointment in the area of this 60th street location so we decided to grab something to eat.

Their website clearly stated that they open at 1130am. We showed up 11:37am, the doors were wide opened, and the side walk tables were out and set. When we walked in, the older gentleman wearing a grey pants and white shirt, in the most untactful and unpleasant tone, told us they open at 12noon. We were like, okay, no problem, we'll come back. In retrospect, we shouldn't have.

When we returned, we chose a table outside, we were the second set of patrons seated, the place was not busy at that time. That man kept looking at us in the most unwelcoming way as though he didn't want us there. I had my sunglasses on so he probably felt I was not noticing him.

Anyways, the server came out took our order and eventually brought our food which was mediocre. While we were sitting there eating other patrons showed up and were seated at tables next to us and that man went to every table making small talk and checking in on those patrons and never came to our table check on us. Even while we were paying the bill the man kept staring. His actions and attitude were glaring and blatant and racist. We would never ever return there.
