Peacefood - Union Square Reviews
Delicious inventive plant-based cuisine and desserts. Love it!
Without question, my favorite vegan restaurant in NYC! The drinks, food, and desserts are all equally delightful. The portions are huge and an excellent value. Very thankful to have access to such masterfully created nutritious and delicious food.
I love eating at Peacefood. I’ve been coming here for years. Hands down I love that they have soup every day. Nice fresh juice selection and my personal fave the ginger tumeric latte. Everything I’ve had I’ve loved. The desserts are amazing as well.

Peacefood - Union Square is a popular vegan restaurant near Union Square known for its flavorful and healthy dishes. This lively spot offers a variety of meals, including chickpea fries, calamari, and seitan medallion panini. The chickpea fries are crispy on the outside with a spongy, subtly spicy filling and come with a perfect dipping sauce. The pumpkin quiche features a robust cheese flavor, and the savory biscuit is super moist with a crazy good Gruyère flavor. The restaurant is praised for its flavorful and perfectly cooked vegetables, and its creamy mushroom soup is a standout. Customers often mention that the meals are filling with good proportions and a variety of veggies. There is lots of variety including soups, starters, entrees, smoothies, teas, and desserts. The staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about veganism, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While prices are a bit high and tables are close together, making conversations easily overheard, Peacefood remains a great choice for a delicious and healthy meal appealing to both vegans and non-vegans alike. The portions are large, especially for NYC, and its large selection of desserts, including rich and moist cake slices, satisfies those with a sweet tooth. Guests often note that the service is good, with attentive staff ensuring water cups are always filled. Overall, Peacefood continues to be highly recommended for its tasty food and desserts, with many considering it their favorite vegan restaurant in NYC.
