Was delighted to get a reservation for 14 at the last moment, but now wish they hadn't had room for us. Experienced multiple disappointments throughout the meal. In priority order: 1) a server indicated that a dumpling dish was vegetarian when it was not, with subsequent consumption and emotional trauma, 2) the prix fixe menu items were quite heavy (e.g., with breading, oils, and sauces), 3) had to re-order drinks multiple times, 4) had to re-order two soup orders (which basically became part of the entrees), 5) service was not very attentive in general, and 6) desserts came without dessert plates and utensils for some diners. For as much as we paid, I expected a lot more.

Absolutely atrocious. The host last night 3.29.24 at 10pm in the white jacket was rude and extremely dismissive. To myself and my guests. For the price on the menu. The host as the first representation of the restaurant should have a better attitude forwards black people especially wanting our money. We were celebrating a 40th birthday and engagement. I called another restaurant and was able to be seated. I took my business a 4 minute walk away to Tao!! Great service and better food.

I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this place. Based on the reviews, I thought I wasn't going to but this place is still the GIRL. Been around forever and still thriving. Must get the duck (obvi) and lychee martini was so yum. Lettuce wraps were also a must get. Portions are big so share a few plates between your group. Obvi expect a little bit of a touristy crowd compared to other midtown restaurants in the area but for the food it's worth it.

The food was excellent ? me and my wife came here spontaneously on a quiet day, and they wow'd us with the best service I have experienced in a long time . I give Phillipe chow a ten star rating . First and foremost, their truffle pork dumplings and waygu beef dumplings are delicious . The pork fried rice made my close my eyes . And the sweet and sour chicken had pineapples, which was so amazing ?. They are excellent in their craft and culinary skills . If you are wondering If you should go , just pick up your phone call and make a reservation your welcome .customer service A1.

Philippe Chow never disappoints, no matter the city! From Washington to New York, their consistency is remarkable. Our favorite dishes--filet mignon with sugar snaps, chicken satay, and Philip Chow noodles--are always impeccably prepared. The ambiance sets the perfect tone for a romantic date night. Can't wait for them to open in Miami!

Amazing food! The place is upscale but not super expansive, very good service and very big meals! Came to NYC for a one week vacation and dined at the restaurant twice.

Loved this place. High end Asian food. The Mr Chang’s noodles are homemade and delicious.Shout out to Joli, Christy and Dimitri. Joli and Dimitri were throwing down some amazing lichee martinis and Christy made sure everyone was happy!

Simply AMAZING! The service was great. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food... it doesn't make sense how EVERYTHING was so good. That crab dish, forget about it. Can't go wrong here.

We came to Philippe Chow for dinner our first night in the city and were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was great, and the food was amazing! We started off with the crispy duck spring rolls, which were some of the best I've had, they were crispy and came with a great sauce. We also got the steamed dumpling sampler which was also very good. For mains, we got the crispy duck, and salt and pepper prawns. The prawns were crispy and delicious. The star of the show was definitely the crispy duck! It came with chinese pancakes, a plum sauce, cucumbers and scallions and it was amazing! Overall great experience would definitely come back again.

A very noisy atmosphere. The music being played, was dance music at dinner time, which makes no sense because it's not designed to make you digest your food. The waiters and waitress service were constantly hovering over us. Was more annoying than necessary and it was just their way of trying to get people to finish their food rather than to actually see that there is any caretaking in service. The food was overly priced and was basic Chinese food. Nothing more very expensive more than even for that area and I've lived in that area for many many years could not recommend it will not go back.

Awful food…super Americanized and extremely fried and one-dimensional. Surprised it’s surviving in New York…quite literally on par with or arguably worse than Panda Express. The worst part is, they make you dress up for this. I’m shocked and honestly disappointed at Philippe Chow for knowingly disguising terrible Chinese food with loud club music and a nice-ish atmosphere.
