Based on the reviews, La Goulue is a restaurant with excellent French food, a solid wine list, and a killer tarte tatin dessert. The restaurant is quaint, charming, and full of classic French ambience, offering a charming romantic candle lit dining experience. The service is excellent, from the hostess to the waiters and support staff. The staff are SO accommodating, with the manager bringing each course to ensure comfort. The crab salad was beautifully fresh, the onion soup was outstanding, and the bread alone was phenomenal. La Goulue is mostly quiet and filled with local, perfect for a relaxed evening or a delightful lunch. Highly recommended for private dining or a visit after a walk through Central Park.
