Visited here the morning of July 21st, the girl taking our order working the morning shift was texting while taking the order almost felt like we were inconveniencing for her. While she had hickeys all over her neck and chest. Not a good look.

I honestly can’t believe how badly I was treated at Pret A Manger.

I walked in at 11:28 AM. There was a guy sweeping the floor — which is fine — but as soon as I started to place my order, he dramatically threw the broom aside and walked over like I was interrupting his day. He didn’t greet me, didn’t smile, didn’t even say “okay” when I told him my order. Just complete silence, a blank stare, and slow, careless movements like he couldn’t care less.

The whole thing felt cold, rude, and honestly humiliating. I’ve never felt so unwelcome as a paying customer. If that’s the attitude they allow from their staff, I’m done with this place. There are plenty of other cafés where basic respect still exists.

Cappuccino was ok but so light like latte and more expensive than other places. Here coffee is better than in Starbucks, but the place looks dirty and unorganized. Not comfortable. Free plant-based milk free with drink

Person during 3/30 12:00pm shift is extremely unprofessional and lacks even the most basic service attitude. Doesn't even offer a bag for 2 big salads + 2 large soups + 2 croissants. He single-handedly kills the quality of the whole place.

I had a really unpleasant experience here. I stopped by to pick up breakfast on my way to school, grabbing my food and coffee from the counter as usual. Just as I was about to leave, a staff member suddenly pulled me back and accused me of stealing because I hadn’t asked before taking my order. She repeated the accusation about three times before I finally asked if she wanted to see my receipt. I usually go to another location, but they were out of stock, so I came here instead—never had an issue like this before. While I understand the need to prevent shoplifting, the way they handled it was completely unprofessional and rude.

Awful experience at the 104 W 32nd St location on December 20th at 6 PM. I placed an online order and arrived on time to pick it up, well before the 7 PM closing time posted on the door. The doors were already locked, and the staff ignored me when I tried to get their attention. Instead, they gave me dismissive and rude looks, clearly signaling they were closed.

After showing my email confirmation through the glass, one staff member finally opened the door—not to help, but to rudely claim my order had been canceled (a lie) before slamming the door in my face. My order wasn’t canceled or refunded, leaving me stranded and humiliated.

As a loyal customer and Pret Club member, this is completely unacceptable. The unprofessional behavior of the staff at this location needs to be addressed.

Dirty place. Tables were not clean. Had to remove garbage and clean the table myself. Staff was so involved with each other and not the customer or the service. Panhandlers outside. Felt unsafe.
