Simple and effective Italian cuisine. The place is warm with a white and dark brown decoration made up of wooden benches, industrial chairs and old professional furniture. The playlist is nice. And the service is continuous.

Late-night dinner for seven, excellent food & service. Dinged for atmosphere only because the place was so loud! Will dine here again.

Their pasta dishes were incredible and affordable. We also participated in their bottomless mimosas and service was impeccable.

I regularly come to eat here, the value for money is great! I recommend the Rigatoni Schrimps with extra ricotta as well as the ricotella (for those with a sweet tooth) - not sure of the spelling btw. There is sometimes a lot of noise inside but the waiters are nice and I always enjoy it!!

The food was good, I recommend the "alla Norma" sauce with rigatoni. It's expensive and very tight seating.

I was in the East Village for Japan Fest but unfortunately it was a very nasty and rainy day. I thought if I go to a nearby restaurant for Brunch that maybe the rain might die down a little so I go back to Japan Fest. So San Marzano was on my list because I saw a French toast with homemade berry compote and bananas. When I got to the restaurant it was very crowded but I managed to get a seat at the bar. Another unfortunate thing was the restaurant was very noisy that my waitress couldn’t hear me as I was telling her my order. I ordered a cappuccino and the French Toast. I was a little disappointed that the French Toast didn’t come with the compote but instead with a dollop of yogurt. Honestly, at that moment the French Toast was very comforting during that nasty rain. Overall, I had a decent meal during a day with horrible weather conditions.

I love San Marzano - especially at lunch when it is quiet and peaceful. The menu is limited but everything is choice. Service is friendly and attentive. The space is light filled and welcoming.
