The lunch omakase is an incredible value at just $49, including an appetizer, nine pieces of sushi, miso soup, and dessert. The chefs take their time to ensure each dish is perfect, and the service is excellent. The salmon sushi is fragrant, and the scallops are sweet with a hint of fishiness. The sea urchin sushi is very fresh, though the seaweed could be crisper. The meal concludes with a comforting miso soup and a refreshing matcha mochi dessert. The omakase experience is unique, with each course presenting a new adventure, from the house-made ginger to the A5 wagyu nigiri. The price is considered very fair for the quality of the offerings, and it's a wonderful prelude to an afternoon at The Met.
