We stopped by Tenzan as recommended by a doorman we passed by. The lunch specials were still going on around 2:30pm. We got a sashimi lunch combo and shrimp/vegetable tempura with salad. The salad had a miso ginger dressing over tossed salad. It tasted fresh and arrived shortly after we ordered. I spent one day recently walking around this part of the west side. At lunch, I found Tenzan on Columbus between 73/74th streets.
First time I visited this location but we have eaten at their 2nd Ave location.
Table service and the bar area are on the left side of the restaurant. The sushi counter is on the right side.
I ordered the salmon teriyaki lunch box. It was a full portion and very tasty.
It was not too busy when I arrived but mostly full when I left.

Incredible spot near Central Park. Quick service, super fresh food, and great recommendations from the staff. Perfect place to grab a bite if you’re strolling around the park!
