I walked into Sláinte after watching a man smoke crack at Whole Foods across the street. It was an immediate breath of fresh air. Everyone was friendly and there was a seat with my name on it at the bar. I wish the vodka soda had a little more vodka, but I appreciate that the bartender was careful not to over serve me. A little loud and I am hard of hearing. 4/5
Great space. Large and open with many seating options (small/large high tops, booths, ample bar stools). Every food item I’ve had there had been well above average bar food. Beer selection is solid and varied. Great music. Friendly staff. Great AC in the hot summer. Every time I have been reconfirms it is one of the best casual bars in the area.
First time in NYC celebrating 25th Anniversary. Stopped in for a quick beer and met a wonderful bartender. What a wonderful place, I’ve spent many years visiting Irish bars, this is a top choice. Will definitely find a way to get back before we leave. Owner showed up and spent some time talking with me and my wife. Highly recommend,
