Phenomenal food. We ordered drinks and entrees and loved everything. The Arctic Char, Short Rib, brussel sprouts were equally enjoyable. The atmosphere had a good vibe and the restaurant looks amazing post-reno. We were delighted when the Executive Sous Chef, José, came out to the table and shared insight into the flavors and ingredients. This was a memorable dining experience and we will be back. Impeccable in every aspect and always consistent in providing fresh and delicious viands as well as exceptional service in a splendidly beautiful 1940s Art Deco décor and lovely atmosphere. Fantastic and convenient midtown location close to the Broadway theatres. Many thanks to Ronald, Dos, Sonia, Rolly, Manuel, and Arian for taking such good care of us for each and every time. We highly recommend Social 45.
I had friends staying at the Sofitel who were on a tight schedule so we decided to have breakfast here. The food was good - we had steak & eggs, avocado toast and oatmeal. It is a bit pricey but all NYC hotel breakfasts are. The place was packed so make sure you have a reservation. The service is OUTSTANDING.

Located in the Sofitel NY hotel, Social 45 Bar & Bistro offers a great atmosphere and beautiful area. The menu is small since mostly a bar, but the food is very good. The lobster roll and creme brulee are very enjoyable. The drinks are delicious, with the cosmo highly recommended. The staff is amazing, nice, accommodating, and helpful. Close to Time Square, it is a 5/5 star recommendation for dinner or a nightcap.
