Great Sunday brunch! We got the Sunny Side Up and the Pesto & Pomodorini Scrambled Egg. The Sunny Side Up sourdough bread was the best I've had outside of San Francisco. The Scrambled Egg was great--flavorful and filling. Definitely will be back!

Spes offers a welcoming atmosphere with immaculate vibes, perfect for enjoying wine with friends. The menu includes vegetarian and gluten-free options, accommodating various dietary needs. The Sunny Side Up and Pesto & Pomodorini Scrambled Egg are flavorful brunch choices, with the sourdough bread being a standout. Friendly staff, especially Erika and Ale, make every visit enjoyable, bringing great energy and knowledge. The restaurant has an incredible wine selection, with every bottle available by the glass, allowing guests to explore different grapes, regions, and producers from Italy. The great music and ambient lighting create a cozy setting for date nights or gatherings with friends.
Described as a hidden gem in the East Village, the ambiance and delicious food impress visitors. Service is praised as first-class, with staff accommodating customers even close to closing time. Portions are generous, and pasta dishes like carbonara and bucatini amatriciana are highly recommended. The grilled octopus was noted to be a bit chewy, but overall, the food and experience keep guests returning. The small size of the restaurant adds to its cozy charm. The place is also known for its excellent wine selection and delightful panna cotta dessert, making it a perfect spot for wine nights and special events.
