It was very late after work, and the store was about to close, but the manager kindly accepted my order and served me. I definitely delayed his closing time but he was very professional and nice. As always, I really enjoyed eating at Sugarfish.

We have dined at this place so many times over the past few years, and we don’t get sick of it. We order the Nozawa Trust Me dinner, and add a few extra pieces from their special menu, usually the Pink Lobster pieces. The sushi served here is super fresh, and the rice is slightly warm, making each bite just perfect. They don’t recommend waiting until your partner’s food arrives, they bring each course out as it is prepared so you eat it immediately and as fresh as it can be. It makes a difference too, especially for the hand rolls, as it comes down to eating it with the seaweed crisp or chewy. A few minutes makes all the difference. The biggest downside to this restaurant (all their locations) is they don’t take reservations. I really wish the restaurant would reconsider that policy, as the wait can be over an hour during busy dinner hours. I would dine there more frequently if they took reservations, as many times, I just don’t have the flexibility to wait around for a table. If you haven’t been, and you enjoy sushi, I’d highly recommend giving this place a try. I’ve been to several of their other locations as well, and it’s always been consistent no matter which location you visit.

The only place I trust for casual good sushi.

Was very busy and there are no reservations, so we had a long wait. The food was great. I liked the steady flow of new sushi with the prix-fix dinner.

Very consistent. The fish isn’t the most flavorful, but it’s good quality for the price. Always the same.

Had to pickup an order from here for a third party app. The instructions were not detailed enough. Pickup is from a restaurant across the street. Staff were polite in letting me know where to go but I feel bad that they probably have to parrot this information numerous times a day.

Not sure if the responsibility is on the owner or a manager but the instructions need to be updated. This would make life easier for restaurant staff & couriers.

Great sushi, but we felt really rushed and the waiter was clueless. One thing that's great about this place is that there's no tipping, so the prices include the cost of service.

The rice felt off and was falling apart very easily

Food is very good but not enough to justify the horrible service. The table is never cleaned nor plates picked up after done. Staff is having their own little party, talking loud and cursing apart from attending customers, noisy. NY has too good quality sushi for this place to be on your short list of Sushi places to go.
