I asked twice to get a candle on the dessert for a birthday celebration and mentioned it in the reservation, and they did not put a candle on the dessert. I was very disappointed. Besides that, the food was very good.

It was our first time coming to Tao and it definitely won't be the last. From the atmosphere, the service, the food, etc everything was on point and amazing. While sitting there and reflecting on the abundance, we agreed that Tao is what you'd see on a tv show or movie. A quintessential New York restaurant. We can't wait to return and bring friends with us.

We've been to the Tao plenty of time, and we've never had a bad experience. Unfortunately, last night was a different story. I want to make this very clear, the food was fantastic. The ambience is always vibrant and lively. And we love to come here! The issue we had was with our server. Once we were seated it took roughly 10 minutes for us to be acknowledged. We weren't offered menus or water, which was a little out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, when she arrived...
