First experience was everything and we loved every bit of it. From the ambience, the drinks, food and the service we loved everything. Our Server Key was amazing her service was exceptional, she made sure we had everything we needed and our food was made properly. The happy hr drinks she recommended were delicious. Next time I'm in Houston I will definitely be back. Im recommending TASTE to everyone I know!!

The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Our waitress was warm and sweet. It just took over an hour to get drinks on the table and food was more than that. We gave ourselves 1.5 hours to dine before a show and we were running out of there to make it. Even after 1.5 hours we still didn't get all of our food items brought to the table. The food was hit and miss....some was amazing, and other items were just okay. I would stick to their specialty of chicken and waffles. Those seem to be our favorites overall. I would recommend to try, just don't be in a hurry.

Although it was a little loud, this place SLAPS. The employees are some of the friendliest people on the planet. The food....I don't even have the words. On par with three Michelin stars easily. The cocktails were lovely. We are absolutely returning soon. Y'all are amazing!

Good experience overall, however, our waitress did become seemingly overwhelmed as the night continued. I am not sure why, as is was a weekday with a moderately small crowd. This is the only thing that made my table a bit confused/frustrated, however, the waitress could have just been tired at that point (which many can understand). Overall, we would return to the establishment.

This place was a 100/10! Everything about it was AMAZING! From the service to the food. Our waitress Aaron was phenomenal. The jerk lamb chops weren't gummy or over cooked. Tasted just right. The greens and Mac and cheese was well seasoned. The lobster was sooo fresh and the waffle was nice and crispy. The oxtail and were mouth watering. Them grits were sooo good!

I paid $50/pp for a reservation at 830pm for a party of 7. First, they tried to split the party after they assured me before and after that the party would not be split. Second, we had to wait nearly 40 minutes to be seated. What was the point of making AND paying for a reservation if it table was not ready. The server assigned to us was kind but overworked. She was responsible for the entire upstairs and that made no sense. It took 20 minutes to get the drinks that we ordered from the bar. It took another 20-30 to order. Because they were so slow we missed the activity we had planned afterwards. Lastly, it was entirely too loud! The singer was yelling in a mic for over an hour. We could not even speak to to one another at the table without literally YELLING.

Our experience was excellent! We took our mom to celebrate her 60th birthday. It was her first time to Houston and to the restaurant. Our server was great! Made sure to explain the menu and confirmed that were to celebrate a birthday. The appetizers came out in a reasonable time hot and ready. The entrees, special highlight to the lamb chops were delicious. Lastly, the complimentary birthday dessert was a great add to the evening!

Was visiting Houston from Atlanta. Went there 2 days in a row. Ordered the General Tso chicken and waffles. Swapped the regular Waffles with the specialty waffles. Tried the sweet potato, cinnamon toast crunch, pecan praline, and red velvet waffles. All were fantastic but sweet potato and red velvet were the best. Note: waffles come in sets of four and you can only order 2 different waffle flavors. Also ordered the wings. Tried spicy ranch and mango habanero. Both flavors were delicious. The deep fried bread pudding was also excellent. Washed all this down with quite a few BOLD martinis. Music is relatively loud so if you're not a person that likes a music-filled eating experience this place isn't for you. Final note: make sure to remind your server that you paid a deposit to get the credit on your bill. Would highly recommend this place if you're in town for brunch!

Our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive to our needs. She suggested some options. The food was great. The manager made sure everyone was doing well by going to each table and asking. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was for sure a vibe. The service was quick and the server was great as well! I would definitely visit anytime I'm in Houston.

A great dining experience! The food and drinks were delicious, the service was excellent, the live music was amazing and the staff was very friendly. I had the shrimp grits which was super yummy! The only thing I would suggest is making the collard greens a little milder. It was super spicy for me but other than that, I will be coming back. ☺️

When I ate my leftovers this morning, I felt compelled to write a review. It was my husband's 62nd birthday, and as usual, his daughter picks the place where we eat. This year, she outdid herself! Even though the crowd was young (it was a Friday night) we had a great reserved table, and were seated immediately as we walked in. I recommend making a reservation if you dine here on a weekend-as people were waiting to get in. The food...10 out of 10. My fish and grits...SUPERB....and I am picky about this dish! This place has the best fish and grits I've ever had in Houston! Needless to say, I've had a lot and have been disappointed numerous times. My husband had the fried fish and he LOVED IT! And HE is a picky eater. There were 4 of us, and my grits were not hot at all but the waitress was happy to heat it to perfection! IT WAS AMAZING! My only dislike was that my glass of Rosé was served in a champagne flute...but I said nothing and enjoyed my evening. Bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. Management walked around clearly making certain everyone was pleased and happy. Waitress was nice and friendly. TEN OUT OF TEN HANDS DOWN! Casual dining, good music, relaxed vibe, and great seating. We will definitely be back.

It took nearly 30 minutes to put in my order , even after I went up the hostess to mention I haven't seen my waiter it still took another 10 or minutes so for them to come by. The only reason I didn't leave was due to making a reservation (100 pre payment) honestly I wish I would have read the reservation policies better. I now have a 49 dollar credit for a restaurant I wouldn't want to go back to. The music was way too loud for my liking but I could see others vibing to the non stop Beyoncé music. The food was fairly priced and it was decent no complaints from me on it . Just the service side , minus the door guy he was cool.

The service here was horrible. I waited 30 mins for a server after going to a host and telling her that no one had come to serve me. 3-4 servers including a manger walked past my table multiple times without any communication or service. I watched a server a few tables away serve her table and never acknowledged me. After waiting 45 mins the bartender came upstairs to service me. Didn't get drinks until after my food was brought to the table . Although the food was decent the service here was awful . Never got an apology for the long wait to be served from anyone.
