Lil Chef Mama Reviews
HONEY PORK SLIDERS may not be the most iconic Thai go-to but these are the very best sandwiches I've ever had in my long, well-fed life. Before Mama opened this welcoming restaurant, she had a place nearby called Thai Sliders where I first became acquainted with this spectacular flavor/texture miracle. Lil Chef Mama is a cozy Thai restaurant located in the Financial District/Seaport area, offering a relaxed atmosphere and nice aesthetics. It is a slightly hidden gem that is great for any occasion, such as dates, dinner with friends, or dinner with family. The space is large and can host bigger groups, with clean and spacious bathrooms. The menu offers a good selection of dishes, including the popular Pad See Ew, with large portion sizes and quick service. Customers also enjoy dishes like chicken curry, curry chicken noodles, green curry, and honey pork fried rice, which reminded some of bulgogi. The food is tasty and flavorful, often with just the right amount of spice, and the Thai iced teas and Thai cocktails are perfect complements. Friendly and helpful staff provide a pleasant dining experience, making this a spot worth visiting again. Highly recommended!
The Honey Pork Sliders, although not a typical Thai dish, are described as the very best sandwiches that a customer has ever had. The owner, referred to as Mama, previously had a place called Thai Sliders where the customer first tried these spectacular sliders. While the customer usually orders fancier fare, they love these sliders for takeout, as each sandwich is much bigger and more generous than most sliders, lasting for two meals. The atmosphere and decor are praised as very quiet, beautiful, and traditional, making it a perfect spot for small groups of 1-4 people. The fried rice and Pad See Ew are also highlighted as customer favorites, making this the best Thai food in the Financial District.
