The royal No.9 milk tea is made with black tea with a hint of fruity aroma and real milk. I appreciated how they use natural ingredients so the drink doesn’t leave sour after-taste that usually comes with artificial sweeteners/creamers. Wish they had more stores around.
The bubble tea was honestly just alright, it’s definitely super overhyped in my opinion and way too expensive. They were also very busy so my friend and I had to stand in a long line outside, even though there was plenty of room indoors (they wouldn’t let anyone who’s not ordering in). As a result of the crowd, the service workers were a tad bit rude, but I can understand the stress of making so many drinks in a short amount of time. Not worth the line and price, but good...
Some-other-boba-place used to be my go to spot for the past year, but the Ube Creme Brulee Milk Tea from The Alley may have single handedly changed my brand loyalty. Creamy custard, chewy brown sugar pearls, rich milky ube. Aesthetic and delicious. I would come back just for this drink.
