Solid pub during the World Cup. Full of England fans for the England games. Some of the TV’s are in need of an upgrade, and only one gents toilet is difficult to manage when busy. But if atmosphere is your priority then this is the place. Good food menu too but get there early if you want a seat.
First of all this is a great gathering place for sitting down and having a drink and some comfort food. The menu is largely built for carnivores, but there are some vegan/vegetarian options available.
They did have Belhaven on draught, however, which is quite wonderful. They also make a very good Bacon Mac and Cheese. My wife says the warm Apple Pie à la mode was also quite good. The bartender brought his A-Game and he was really attentive, even when things got busy....

Could actually be a nice pub - but they insist on absolutely BLASTING music at full volume, defeating the purpose of a pub (i.e., chance to have a conversation with someone). Turn down the music (and pick better songs) and it would be a great place.
