Used to be very good with big portions but went downhill with food quality. Last time ordered lamb gyro platter, which was super salty. Sweet potato fries are good. Thought for the longest time it was Lebanese owned (called in at their midtown location for dietary info), but recently found out it is Greek-Israeli owned. Unsure if Kosher either. Take that as you will.

Dietary restrictions: Don’t believe it is halal and unsure if kosher.

The falafel could benefit from being fresher and more flavorful, as it seemed to have been prepared earlier in the day. The toppings had potential but could use major improvement for a more balanced bite. Overall, this pita experience didn’t meet my expectations.

The falafels are the best! Crunchy. I love all the vegetables. Delicious.

Rice was hard and not cooked. Charges extra for cucumbers. Put way too much spicy tahini on. Had high expectations for this place.

Nice clean restaurant and the staff is friendly.
Sadly the food has gone downhill somewhat.
I ordered a falafel sandwich with baba ganoush.

I'm kind of a falafel maven, having eaten countless falafels from all over the planet for about 50 years.

Here's the problems:
1. Falafel needs to be served immediately after frying. This place served quarter-sized balls that had been pre-cooked and so they were not crunchy.
2. If you cook them as balls (as opposed to discs), they need to be flattened when inserting into the pita. You can only do that if they are crunchy (freshly fried)
3. The baba ganoush was laden with mayonaisse or something of the sort. Not good.
4. Tomatoes clearly had been refrigerated...they were mealy.
5. Cucumbers that have thick skin should be peeled
6. Pita should be seared on the grill. This place does not do that
Falafel restaurants really should have bottles readily available to the customer with sauces, like techina or harissa. You have to ask for them at this place.
7. The falafel itself was kind of tasteless. They need to fix their recipe; maybe go with the Mamouns type or research some of the places in Tel Aviv.
All in all I would not return to this place if they don't fix at least 5 of the above.

the falafel bowl is the best bang for your buck outside of Mamouns in the whole city
