It's been a solid 10 years since I stopped in for a spicy chicken tikka roll and I was not let down. They still got it! The service is top notch and the atmosphere is delightfully simple. Good job everybody, you're doing a great job turning out some tasty, spicy simple dishes that bring the streets of India to 39th Street. Keep it up.

Very unsafe food and abysmal customer service. Called because we have allergens in our group. No one seemed to know what allergens were until I was passed to the third person. I was then told by a fourth person to look at the website (which we already had and which provides no allergen info) - when I asked where to find on the website the allergen info given I could not find it, they hung up.Dietary restrictions: Do not understand or value safety of dietary restrictions

Fine - small & very casual. There were at least 7 employees preparing food, and most of the customers seemed to be delivery drivers.Small portions, and the cashier service was pretty dismal. I needed to reach behind the register for a bottle opener.

Very poor service - gentlemen name Titu on the till was not at all interested in serving - upon asking for masala chai along with my rolls , he said they are out of chai and straight after me another lady came at the till asking for masala chai - he was very much interested in serving and took the order for masala chai and then I went back asking for the one, thinking they do have - but again to me, he said same we are out of masala chai and we cannot serve - very disappointing - understand mine was not as much prettier face

they are now starting to do a poor job on the masala chai. It used to be good and I was a regular customer. Now they dish out no masala/spice watery chai and it is such a pity. Should improve
The kasha mangsho roll was the star item for me, but it is no longer on their menu. During my last visit the rolls weren’t as good as I had before, the unda shami roll was underwhelming in terms of spice and taste. It used to be a great place for a unique quick bite.

Please beware. This is NOT how Kolkata kati rolls taste. The paratha here are not lachha, they are thin and on top of that they are premade, they are reheated when you order. Even the anda/unda/egg parathas are just reheated on a tawa which makes the entire thing soggy and not have the crunch you may be used to. After having them here, I realized the ones I make fresh at home are better. Never coming back again. And the ambience is not to my taste either. They have spent money to make this place look like some dirty dingy shop. The Kolkata kati roll shops I grew up eating at, are cleaner than this place. This place is not for me.
