Service was excellent - wait staff was attentive and responsive to our questions. Ambiance is wonderful. However, the food was a bit disappointing. Pork chops were thin and dry instead of thick and juicy. We ordered pappadelle pasta with duck ragu and the pasta was undercooked and stucked together. Best thing we ate was the side of roasted brussels sprouts which was pretty tasty. The restaurant did comp one of the entrees.
Everything was good except that they have a strict no substitution policy which as the customer, who is paying to eat there, is something that will keep me from returning. My menu item had broccolini on it which I can not eat and my only options were to have no side with my meal or spend another $15 for a side of something else. Not very customer focused, luckily I can keep that from happening to me there again.
I've previously had great experiences at the Milling Room, but my latest one was extremely disappointing. I made a reservation and noted that it was my birthday. When we arrived, the staff said that they wouldn't have anything available for 10 to 15 minutes, even though I'd made a reservation. We waited in the bar for 30 minutes, and no one came to move us to a table. Once I told them that we'd been waiting for half an hour despite my reservation, they finally...
