Fantastic ice cream and unique flavors. The place is tiny and can be challenging to get in and out, like many places in NYC, but worth it, Make sure you stop in if in Chinatown.

Winter Treat: Chinatown Ice Cream Factory 🍦❄️

Who says it’s ever too cold for ice cream? Not me! While hopping through Chinatown on a brisk winter morning, I made a cozy pit stop at the legendary Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, and it was absolutely worth it.

💥 What I Ordered:
☕ Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream: Bold, creamy, and perfectly balanced between the rich coffee flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s like having your morning cup of coffee, but in dreamy, frozen form.
🍵 Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream: A true classic! The earthy, slightly bitter matcha flavor was perfectly mellowed by the creamy texture. It’s a flavor that feels indulgent and refreshing all at once.

🌟 Why It’s Special: This isn’t just any ice cream; it’s homemade, packed with authentic flavors, and served in the cutest family-run spot. Their menu has a mix of classic and unique Asian-inspired flavors, so there’s something for everyone.

💡 Pro Tip: Brave the cold and get the cone—it’s worth it! And if you’re indecisive (like me), ask for a sample or two before committing.

Whether it’s summer or winter, this spot is an absolute must for ice cream lovers. Who else agrees that ice cream is a year-round treat?

Plain rude. This lady said they were busy and hung up the call on us. We called back before closing and no one picked up. Called back the next day and it’s the same lady. She said they can’t make cakes on the same day. That’s understandable and we were open to the flavors they had. She told us 2 of the flavors, cut us off when we tried asking questions, and ended up telling us to just come in and look ourselves. Unprofessional and flat out rude.

I used to coke here because the ice cream was amazing. Now that I've gotten to know other places, it's meh and overpriced.

Came here for an after dinner treat. This place is a Chinatown classic. I got the lychee ice cream and taro ice cream. Taro flavor was rich. The lychee was light and creamy. The scoops are generous. The person working there was super nice and even helped take a photo for our group. They accept cash or Venmo. Stop in here for some unique ice cream flavors and you'll leave happy for sure!

11 years ago I tried their signature ice cream and bought a blue T-shirt with their logo-Deagon which was cool.

sesame ice cream was my favorite. Definitely a little pricey at $8 for a small.

Iconic for having a vast variety of Asian flavors - but when I visited they were out of some flavors I was interested in. Ordered one scoop of pandan ice cream in a waffle cone for $9.25. The flavors are good. I think they use food coloring - the color was alarmingly bright.

This is a small ice cream store and the store sells many different kinds of flavors like lychee, egg custard, sesame, taro, pandan, green tea and many others. The ice cream there tastes delicious and the service is fast and the atmosphere is busy because this place is famous for its ice cream.

Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly because it sells ice cream of different flavors.
