This type of restaurant usually isn’t my vibe. But we visited after seeing it on Instagram through Danielle Guizio, the fashion designer. (I know, cringe.) But my husband’s name is Zim, so naturally, the name caught my eye. I knew it was a collaboration between Guizio’s sister and a chef with experience at Lodi, so I expected a beautifully designed space catering more to the scene than to serious dining.

Zimmi’s was a perfect experience. From the intimate setting, fantastic wine, excellent bartender, and of course, a brilliant menu with each dish being as superb as the next, I would come back to Zimmi’s in an instant.

What a charming edition to the neighborhood! I would describe this as delicious home cooked French food. We especially loved the foie gras and the leeks in a savory sauce topped eggs with orange yolks. Jenni guided us in selected a lovely bottle of Bordeaux. The servers and staff are sweet and helpful. We’ll be back! Kudos and congratulations to the chef and owners.
