Your political leanings have no place in a business. My father ran a jewelry and watch repair business in Manhattan. During the 1965 Mayoral Race between Abraham Beame, John Lindsay, and William Buckley, the Beame people came to his store and asked to put up posters. He refused. Two weeks later, the Lindsay people came and asked to put up posters. He refused again. His logic: 'I want Beame customers, I want Lindsay customers, and I want Buckley customers'.
