My girlfriend and I came in on a Friday night at 8:45 PM. No hostess greeted us. When we asked for a menu, a waitress told us that the kitchen was already closed. The restaurant is open until 10 PM but the kitchen closed over an HOUR EARLY.
We would have happily stayed for drinks, but the dismissive atmosphere really rubbed us the wrong way.

Rockin' Fish in downtown Northport Village is a simple, cute hangout spot with good food and a cozy atmosphere. Known for serving UK beer "Old Speckled Hen" on tap, it is a popular place for locals and visitors alike. The exposed brick decor gives a cool vibe, with the old door adding to its charm. The restaurant offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and pets are allowed on the patio, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The menu includes vegetarian options, and desserts are a highlight. The Crab Cake BLT is especially popular, with fresh ingredients and good flavor. Recent reviews mention tasty food, especially the oysters, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, with some customers noting that their preferences are remembered and appreciated. The food has been described as very tasty, with good service. The menu features dishes like the pork chop pizza, which has no crust except for some bread crumbs, and the sauce on the cutlet is praised. Some guests enjoy the muscles and mixed drinks, especially when sitting outside, to enjoy Northport’s charming town atmosphere. While prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, the overall experience, friendly staff, and cozy setting make it a favorite spot for many. Street parking might be challenging, but municipal parking fields are nearby, and a stroll through the beautiful water-filled town is a pleasant experience overall.
