“My mother has been going through cancer treatments for months. Most days she can’t even leave the house from exhaustion . She went to the grocery store this morning and when she left she was so exhausted she decided to go to McDonald’s for a hamburger and sit there for a while before heading home. When she got to the front door she saw people leaving saying the inside is closed only the drive through is opened. She of course went to make sure this was true. As she opened the door the cashier said sorry only the drive thru is opened but she looked up and saw my mom ( you can tell by looking at my mom she is sick) and said “oh honey, come in what would you like?’ My mom said just a hamburger and a small French fries. She told my mom to go sit down she would bring it to her and said that it was on the house. My mom thanked her but said she would pay. The cashier said absolutely not. . Your meal is on us today. She said , now you go sit and I’ll bring it out. They even came over and cleaned up her mess when she was done. My mom said they treated her like a queen. Thank you so much McDonald’s in Oakdale NY for doing this.“

“I was greeted by the most pleasant, professional young lady named Ayanna. She immediately brought us to the table of our choice and then inform us that she would also be our server. She did not leave until she informed us of menu options that she thought we might be interested in and asked us if there was anything that we needed right away. When I told her to give us a little bit of time, she pleasantly agreed and did hesitate to frequently check on us to see if she could meet our needs. I ordered a cocktail for myself and a drink for my son, who accompanied me, and we placed our dinner order. Our food was served promptly and it was hot and delicious. Throughout dinner, she checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything that we needed. She also made pleasant conversation which I greatly appreciated as this was my first time at an Applebee’s location. She has gained you a customer for life. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful, but Ayanna definitely may be experience worthwhile.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. Our server, NATALIE, was kind, thoughtful, professional, patient and thorough. She checked on our beverages and food items periodically. “The food served here was very good, i had the sizzling sirloin 10/10. Aside from that I had accidentally left my purse at the dinner table while taking a call and my party had left without knowledge that my purse was there. Before i could notice i was already an hour away. The manager at this location and his staff were very helpful with this issue. When i found proper arrangements to get my things they secured my items and made sure nothing was taken. Very appreciated thank you 🙏“

“I hadn't been to an IHOP in over a decade and never one back home on Long Island. I went with my eldest son to this one at his request (his first time at this location, too) and had a clean restaurant, friendly staff and excellent breakfast food. Definitely a pleasant experience - and funny thing... Even the to go container for the food I couldn't finish was top shelf! Honestly, it was better than a container I got from a $500 per person meal at a steak house!
